The company

Stable Office Automation Sdn. Bhd. was founded in 1987 by Tan Su Choon, who remains owner and managing director. What began as an office equipment dealership in Kulim grew alongside the industrial development of the region, and the business today supplies and installs complete office interiors as well as the equipment that goes in them.

We have built a reputation for executing major contract deliveries at the top end of the commercial office market, working alongside some of Malaysia's leading architectural and interior design practices. That work is won on getting large orders in on programme and on specification — not on holding the lowest price on a single chair.

How we work

Contract work starts long before an order. We take your architect's or interior designer's drawings, plan the floor, and return a specification with quantities, finishes and a budget solid enough to tender against. Where a layout is still moving, we plan around the fixed points — cores, risers, meeting rooms — so the specification survives the changes.

Delivery and installation are done by our own crews rather than subcontracted. On live premises we phase floor by floor, and where a facility genuinely cannot stop — a production plant, a bank branch, a ward block — we install at night or over a weekend and hand the space back ready for use.

After handover we stay involved. Chair mechanisms, lock barrels, compactor tracks and copier consumables are held or sourced from Kulim, which means a fault on a floor we furnished is usually a service call rather than a replacement order. For clients with several sites we keep the specification on file, so a branch fitted out this year matches one fitted out years ago.

Where we work

Our head office and showroom are in Kulim, Kedah, within reach of Kulim Hi-Tech Park, and a branch office in Georgetown covers Penang island and the mainland. Most of our projects sit inside that corridor — manufacturing headquarters, banking, education, healthcare and professional offices — though rollout programmes take us further afield.
